Parliament — Sejm and Senate
Sejm and Senate members and committees, with committee profiles, recent sittings and source materials.
Open PUBLIC → Stakeholders → Parliament. Choose Chamber → Sejm or Senate in the sidebar. The narrow icon rail beside it, shared with Recordings, switches between People and Committees. Only the selected list is displayed, with its own sidebar filters. On a phone, the view buttons appear above the list and Filters opens the sidebar. The chamber and view are preserved in the URL.
People shows members of the selected chamber. Committees opens that chamber's committee directory, with profiles available inside Persate for both the Sejm and Senate.
Find a committee
The Committees section is a table with Name, Code and Members. Type and Sittings appear when the source provides those fields. Sejm committee types are Standing, Extraordinary or Investigative. Senate rows use the official committee identifier as their code.
Checkboxes on the left appear on hover or keyboard focus and remain visible for selected rows; on touch screens they are always visible. The header checkbox selects all loaded committees. A small floating toolbar at the bottom of the screen shows the selection count and icons to Ask the Advisor, Search the platform, Find related files or Clear selection. Hover or focus an icon to see its label. Changing the filters, view or chamber clears the selection. Clicking the committee name opens its profile.
Narrow the list in the right-hand panel (on a phone, the Filters button):
- Committees — search committees.
- Committee type — where available, limit the table to one type; All types shows every committee.
- Clear committee filters — appears when a filter is active and resets both.
Find a member
The People view lists members of the selected chamber with Name, Role, Party Group and Voivodeship. The Search people field in the right-hand panel filters the list by name. Further members load while scrolling; selecting a row opens the person's profile.
Committee page
Selecting a committee opens its page. The header shows the committee type, the name and the committee's scope. The page has two sections:
- Members — the committee's members with their committee role, party group and voivodeship. Selecting a member opens their profile.
- Sittings — a timeline of the committee's sittings. A planned sitting carries the Scheduled badge. Expanding a sitting shows its room or remote format, the agenda items and, when available:
- Discussed prints: — each Print chip opens the print in Legislation;
- Recording: — Open recording opens the sitting recording in Recordings; a sitting with several recordings lists them by number.
The right-hand panel (on a phone, the Details button) shows the available committee details and Contents with links to both sections.
Senate committee profiles show the current membership and source notes about roles, plus recent sittings with agendas. Senate documents and recordings open their official source in a new tab. All sittings on the Senate website opens the complete history; the Recent sittings count covers the displayed subset. Official committee page opens the source profile. Members open their Persate profile when an exact identity is available, or their official Senate profile otherwise. Unavailable fields are not inferred from Sejm data.
Published Senate committee reports, meeting notes, transcripts and attachments enter Persate's document collection as they are processed. Documents with a verified reference to a legislative process also appear with that process in Legislation. Committee work that does not concern a bill stays associated with the committee. Availability depends on the published source and completion of text extraction.
These documents can be included in an alert. Name the Senate committee and the topic to monitor; committees from different chambers remain separate identities.
Committee pages also open from Advisor citations and from links to committees elsewhere in Persate.
